Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA)

August 20-23

BIFA is one of the most unique events in Colorado. It's not a typical art festival. Over four days, the Arts District in downtown Breckenridge transforms into an immersive, multi-sensory experience mixing music, theatre, film, and visual art. If you've never been, this is the year to go. It draws artists and performers from around the world and somehow manages to feel both massive and deeply personal at the same time.

Hogfest: Bacon and Bourbon Festival

August 28-30 at Main Street Station

Exactly what it sounds like, and better than you'd expect. Hogfest brings together allocated and hard-to-find bourbons, master distillers, and a seriously impressive spread of pork dishes from local food vendors. The weekend kicks off Friday with a VIP Bourbon Pairing Dinner, Saturday is the Grand Tasting, and Sunday is a brunch to wrap it all up. Great event for a long weekend visit or a locals' date night.

Breck Epic

The Breck Epic is one of the most celebrated mountain bike races in the country, drawing riders from across the world to tackle Summit County's trails over multiple days. Even if you're not racing, it's worth watching the start and finish. The energy around town during Breck Epic week is something else.

Great Divide Art Festival

A beautiful outdoor art festival in the heart of Breckenridge showcasing fine art and handcrafted works from artists across the region. Worth a stroll whether you're buying or just looking. One of those events that reminds you why this town attracts creative people.
