My Picks for Best of Summit County 2026
Every summer, Summit Daily opens up their Best of Summit voting and asks locals and regulars to weigh in on their favorites across the county. Voting is open from July 17 through July 31 at summitdaily.com/bestofsummit2026, and this year I actually have opinions strong enough to write a whole post about it.
These are just a few places go to enough to vote for them!
Dillon Amphitheater — Best Concert Series or Music Festival
If you've never been to a show at the Dillon Amphitheater, add it to your summer list before the season ends. There is nothing quite like sitting on that hillside with the reservoir and mountains behind the stage. They run free Mountain Music Mondays on top of their ticketed lineup, which made it to #2 on USA Today's list of top amphitheaters in the country this year. Best Concert Series is a no-brainer vote here.
Castaways Cove — Best Burger
Castaways Cove has been in my rotation for a while now. Their smashburger is the kind of thing you think about before you go. It is not fancy, it does not need to be. If you know, you know. Vote them for Best Burger.
Wandering Daisy — Best Gift Shop
Wandering Daisy is tucked into a little alley off Main Street in Breckenridge and it is genuinely one of my favorite spots in town. Almost everything in there is made by Colorado artists, a lot of them local to Summit County. They also host a romance book club and pop-up art classes, which I love. It is the kind of small business that makes Breckenridge feel like Breckenridge and not just any mountain town. Vote them for Best Gift Shop.
Breckenridge Hair Co. — Best Hair Salon
I go here. That is my whole endorsement. They are consistent, they are good, and they are right on Main Street. If you have been looking for a reliable salon in Summit County, this is your answer. Vote them for Best Hair Salon.
Danielle's Delights — Best Baked Goods and Best Coffee
Danielle's is out on Airport Road next to Breckenridge Distillery, and I cannot stop recommending it. Everything is made from scratch every morning. The scones are something I think about more than I should admit. The coffee is strong and good and the baked goods are the real deal. Vote them in both Best Baked Goods and Best Coffee because they deserve a win in both.
Go cast your votes at summitdaily.com/bestofsummit2026 between July 17 and July 31. These are local businesses and local people who show up for this community every day. Takes about two minutes and it actually matters to them.
