Mythology Distillery Is Now Pouring in Breckenridge

Breckenridge already had a lot going for it on the food and drink front. Then Mythology Distillery opened a tasting room in a historic barn on Main Street this spring, and it quietly became one of the better additions to downtown in a while.

I had my first taste of Mythology at the Lamplight Event out at Country Boy Mine a few weeks ago. The drinks were great, the kind that make you want to know more about who made them. Turns out, a lot of people already do.

What Is Mythology Distillery?

Mythology started as a Denver distillery before moving its headquarters and all production to Steamboat Springs in 2023. They have been racking up awards ever since they launched. Over 60 national and international recognitions, including gold and double gold from competitions as far as San Francisco, Las Vegas, and China. ColoradoBiz named them Colorado's Top Distillery in 2024.

They make whiskey, gin, vodka, and a lineup of specialty spirits. All of it made in the Rockies.

The Breckenridge Tasting Room

The space is a renovated historic barn tucked just off Main Street in downtown Breckenridge. It is the kind of spot you could walk right past if you did not know to look for it, which makes finding it feel a little like a discovery.

Inside, the staff walks you through the full lineup. You can do a tasting flight, grab a cocktail, pick up a bottle to take home, or pop in for a quick pour. They also carry tasting-room-only releases you can only get on site.

The tasting room is dog-friendly, which is never a bad thing in Breckenridge.
