A Condo That Was Loved — and Renovated to Show It: The Pines, Keystone, Unit 2121

Some mountain properties are bought to flip. This one was renovated by someone who genuinely loved it. You can feel the difference the moment you walk in.

Unit 2121 at The Pines, 21640 US-6 in Keystone, Colorado is a fully renovated 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath, 898 sq ft condo now listed at $675,000. The Fall 2025 gut remodel transformed the space from top to bottom — and understanding what went into it helps explain why this one stands apart from other Summit County condos at this price point.

What the Renovation Actually Includes

The work started at the top: ceilings were stripped of popcorn texture and refinished. Sherwin Williams paint went on every wall and door. All interior wood trim was gel-stained dark espresso, giving the space a cohesion that most mountain condos lack.

In the kitchen, the island was re-engineered to lay flat for a countertop slab — Quartz Magnifico in white and gold. JSI Truffle wood custom cabinetry was installed throughout the kitchen and both bathrooms. Flooring in the wet areas is black slate tile. The living areas were done in Outlast+ Golden Rustic Oak engineered hardwood in 2022. The kitchen also has a 24-inch single-basin deep black sink, premium gray stone backsplash, under-cabinet warm lighting, black metal hardware, a custom pantry buildout in the kitchen closet, and a new GE oven and microwave.

The primary suite became a true suite. A sliding wood barn door opens to the space, paired with a sliding double-panel glass shower door, a custom shower nook, and a black pebble stone shower floor. Double vanity, double mirrors, and updated closet finishes and hardware round it out. The guest bath carries the same finish level throughout.

New electric baseboard heaters were installed in 2023. Electrical, lighting, and drywall on the kitchen and bathroom ceilings were all updated in 2018. This renovation was cumulative — not a quick cosmetic update before sale.

The View and the Location

Unit 2121 faces the golf course and the mountains. From the bedroom, the view is there before you’ve even had your coffee. The large private balcony faces the same direction, and the fireplace with updated tile surround makes the living room the kind of place you actually spend time in come winter.

Trail access runs right alongside The Pines complex, connecting to Keystone’s broader network of hiking and biking paths. The yellow bus ski shuttle route stops nearby, providing direct service to the slopes of Keystone Resort. On property: an indoor pool with beautiful skylights, sauna, hot tubs, a clubhouse with communal laundry, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a BBQ deck with seating, a communal courtyard, and pet-friendly grounds with picnic benches near the golf course.

For buyers coming from Denver, I-70 access puts this about 80 miles from the city — the kind of distance that makes a Friday evening arrival feel easy.

Who This Is Right For

This condo works well for a vacation buyer who wants something move-in ready with no projects left, an investor looking for a well-renovated short-term rental candidate in a sought-after ski market, or a primary resident who wants Keystone Resort access without compromising on finish quality.

The renovation here is not what you typically see in a resale condo at this price point. Every choice was made deliberately, and it shows.
